When you talk about versatility in the offensive line class for the 2025 NFL Draft class, you won’t find many better than Arizona standout Jonah Savaiinaea. During his three years with the Wildcats, Savaiinaea started all 36 games he played. He had starts at left tackle, right tackle, and inside at guard as well.
At right around 6-4 and 324 pounds with good length, Savaiinaea has the requisite foot quickness to stick at offensive tackle on the NFL level. He also has the size and power profile for some teams to project him inside as well. That flexibility will be incredibly attractive to prospective NFL teams, and Savaiinaea is steering hard into that big sell.
"I can play both sides in the league," Savaiinaea told the media at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. "I’m super grateful for the opportunity to play outside and inside. Home for me is I want to put hands on guys right now and just stone them on the line."
For those who did have some questions about Savaiinaea's athleticism coming into the Combine, the former Arizona standout proved them wrong. At 324 pounds, Savaiinaea ran the forty-yard dash in 4.95 seconds. He also had a 29-inch vertical, broad jumped 8' 10", and had a really impressive short shuttle time of 4.66 seconds. Those jumps are average, but the movement skills are very impressive.
There is a world where Savaiinaea finds a home at offensive tackle on the next level. Funny enough, his best film probably came at left tackle this past season. While he has solid upside on the edge, inside at guard might be where Savaiinaea's biggest upside lies. His combination of size, athleticism, and upside presents Pro Bowl upside inside.
From conversations with folks around the league, teams are mixed as far as where they see Savaiinaea on the next level. He feels like the perfect offensive lineman for a team to potentially get the best five on the field up front. Savaiinaea is currently being projected somewhere in the top 64 selections, but the first round is definitely not out of the question.
