The LSU Tigers are reportedly making a "massive move" in the recruiting battle for an elite 2026 four-star quarterback.
RIvals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney gave an update this week on LSU's pursuit of 2026 four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley and it sounds like the Tigers are sitting in a good spot.
From Rivals.com: LSU is making a massive move for the four-star quarterback from Celina, Texas, especially after he met the entire coaching staff during his weekend visit and feels like a clear priority. Bentley talks with offensive coordinator Joe Sloan every night and the success LSU has had at quarterback is a major bonus.
Visits to Georgia, Ohio State and Florida State are coming up and Oklahoma is still very much in the picture, but LSU looks great in his recruitment now.
Bentley, 6-foot-2/200 lbs from Celina, TX, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 7 quarterback in the nation and the No. 12 player in the talent-rich state of Texas. He's also rated as the No. 76 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
The talented quarterback recruit recently made his first visit to Baton Rouge and he came away impressed.
“There’s nothing like walking into Tiger Stadium and knowing I can do big things,” said Bentley to On3. “Got to go to the baseball game and there’s no question that LSU fans are awesome.”
Bentley also recently visited Oklahoma and he has a visit to Ohio State coming up next. There's still a long way to go in this recruiting battle, but LSU is certainly in the mix to land the four-star recruit.
LSU currently has six players committed to its 2026 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 12 in the nation.
