We are less than one month away from the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Baltimore Ravens haven't been super aggressive during free agency, but made some key re-signings with offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley and fullback Patrick Ricard. They have also brought in some outside help in wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and cornerback Chidobe Awuzie.
The Ravens still have a few positions that need reinforced, but have a whopping 11 draft picks to help round out their roster. Our A to Z Sports Minnesota Vikings writer and draft guru Tyler Forness released a first-round mock draft on Thursday, so let's check out his selection for Baltimore and analyze it.
No. 27: OG Tyler Booker, Alabama
"The Ravens lost Patrick Mekari in free agency and need to solidify the interior of the offensive line. Booker isn't a fit for every team, but he's perfect with how the Ravens like to play. Booker is a destroyer on the interior as long as you keep him in a phone booth, which the Ravens will." – Tyler Forness
For my money, Booker is the best interior offensive lineman in this year's class and is one of the safest picks in the entire draft. His technique and mechanics are already on par with NFL veterans, and he possesses tremendous size and power at 6-foot-5 and 352 pounds. Booker's best trait is his ability to anchor once is feet are planted in the ground, making him simply immovable.
While Booker is an adequate enough athlete, he isn't the quickest lineman around. However, his intelligence and fundamentals make up for it. This pick for the Ravens just makes too much sense as guard is arguably their biggest remaining need. Booker is also a perfect scheme fit for Baltimore's gap/power-based rushing approach.
