There's been good, bad, and ugly, in the Cowboys' decision-making ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. But more moves lie ahead.

That's according to Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones, who talked to reporters on Sunday about the state of the team during the league's annual owner meetings.

"We’re not done yet," Jones said via The Athletic's Jon Machota. "We still got some things that are out standing that we’re trying to get done."

Despite the near-dozen additions they've made so far, the Cowboys still have plenty of roster needs. Particularly, they have yet to address several holes on the starting lineup though it's true they've added some much-needed depth in certain positions like defensive line.

However, the Cowboys have needs at wide receiver, running back, cornerback, linebacker. With players like Amari Cooper, Keenan Allen, Rasul Douglas, Asante Samuel Jr. and others still available, Dallas could still do something about it.

However, Cowboys fans would be smart to take Jones' comments with a grain of salt: Jerry Jones said earlier in the offseason he didn't see free agency as a place to fill voids. Stephen said earlier in the year this offseason would be similar to 2024, when they only signed Royce Freeman and Eric Kendricks in March.

In other words, adding a veteran that can become an immediate starter like the ones listed above seems unlikely at this stage. Instead, I'd consider it much more likely for the Cowboys to keep adding players that better address the bottom of the depth chart.

With that being said, you never know. Perhaps with the amount of problems on the roster, the Cowboys feel compelled to take a swing at adding a starter before the Draft. It's what they should do. But are they willing to admit it?
