The Los Angeles Rams keep their draft plans locked up tight. They rarely broadcast visits and meetings with prospects, so trying to figure out interest is more often than not reliant on guesswork.
However, we can take a look at popular selections for the Rams among analysts to begin forming a consensus on prospects and positions being taken.
In this first iteration of a Rams mock draft roundup, there was very little consensus, but a popular name starting to take shape.
11 different names popped up across 15 different mock drafts. Five of those mock drafts had the Rams selecting a cornerback, three had a wide receiver being taken, two had the same tight end selected, and one quarterback rounded out the rest.
Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State
–The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue
"The Rams went heavy on Florida State defenders last April, drafting Jared Verse and Braden Fiske in the first two rounds. They both had great rookie seasons. Why change the approach now? Let's give L.A. another Seminole, this time in the secondary. Thomas is big, quick and long. And while he doesn't have eye-popping INT numbers (two over three seasons), he makes plays on the ball. He broke up 19 passes at FSU. Thomas would boost the Rams' pass defense, which allowed 29 passing TDs and 7.6 yards per attempt last season (both tied for fifth worst)."
Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
–Yahoo Sports' Nate Tice and Charles McDonald
"Cooper Kupp is out, but the bigger-bodied Loveland can handle a lot of the same responsibilities as a big body from the slot. Loveland isn’t a great blocker like a lot of traditional tight ends, but he has the speed and receiving skills to be a clean fit for Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford."
Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
"Let’s have some fun, shall we? Quarterback isn’t as pressing a need with Matthew Stafford back for another year, but he’s not going to play forever. The Rams still have to find his successor and they won’t be afraid to take one in the first round if there’s someone they covet. Might that player be Dart? Trading down was my top option but with no takers, I stood pat and took Dart – who could go much earlier than this or potentially 20 picks later. No one truly knows. Dart has the mobility Sean McVay typically loves in a backup quarterback, and Les Snead even hinted at wanting a mobile passer back in November. There are things to clean up in his game but no one should doubt McVay’s ability to get the most out of someone like Dart. He has the tools to be a franchise quarterback and McVay might just be the perfect coach for him."
Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky
–The 33rd Team's Marcus Mosher
"The Rams need cornerback help, but this isn’t the best defensive back class in Round 1. However, Maxwell Hairston is worth a gamble at the end of the first round because of his size and athleticism. He’s an older prospect, but the Rams have shown that clearly doesn’t matter much to them. Look for Hariston to find his way into the first round."
Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss
"The only question I had about Amos was his pure speed, but he put any concerns to rest at the NFL Scouting Combine with his 4.43-second 40-yard dash."
Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
"The fact that the Rams' top pick a year ago — edge rusher Jared Verse — earned a Pro Bowl selection and Defensive Rookie of the Year honors is all the more remarkable given that it was the first time since 2016 (Jared Goff) that the Rams drafted in the first round. GM Les Snead prioritizes grit and production over traits, and he'll see both in Barron, a three-time all-conference selection and reigning Thorpe Award winner."
Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
"Revel missed the 2024 season with a knee injury, but his size and skills are a great fit for the Rams' resurgent defense."
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
"The Rams let Kupp go but brought in Davante Adams. However, Adams is 32 and just thinking about potential player and team fits, Sean McVay getting an intelligent, talented receiver who's a great route runner would really work. Egbuka can occupy the slot next to Adams and Puka Nacua. He's a strong leader and Ohio State doesn't win the national championship without him. If you can add someone like Egbuka, that's a major plus for your locker room."
Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA
"The local prospect may be too good to pass up here. Schwesinger is a dynamic linebacker who gives the Rams something they simply haven't had other than Bobby Wagner's cameo season in 2022."
Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
"With Cooper Kupp seemingly on his way out of Los Angeles, the Rams look to bolster the wide receiver spot. Golden is a twitchy route runner with excellent hands and some run-after-the-catch ability. He impressed with his speed at the combine, running a 4.29-second 40-yard dash—giving him the type of juice that complements Puka Nacua’s skill set nicely."
Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
"The Rams move down in the first round to get a third pick in the third round, an area of the draft in which general manager Les Snead and his scouts have excelled in recent years. They still find an immense talent available at No. 32, though, in Bond. His suddenness after the catch and willingness to take (and make) hits despite his slight build give him an outside shot of joining Texas teammate Matthew Golden in Round 1."

Los Angeles Rams 7-Round Mock Draft: Who could the Rams target after trading down in the first round?
How the Los Angeles Rams attack the 2025 NFL Draft is one of the most interesting storylines of the offseason. They've been open about being aggressive and pushing their window with Matthew Stafford, hence their free agent signings. Still, they've been reticent about reverting to their aggressive style from early on in the McVay era, […]
