The USC Trojans are on the road to becoming a dominant program once again. Yes, 2024 was sad, on all levels, as the Trojans had a good roster but somehow managed to blow leads and just play poorly down the stretch of games.

It was the same story every week. And that caused the fan base to question whether head coach Lincoln Riley was even the right guy for the job or not. But, after the season concluded, the Trojans and Riley did what they do best — recruit.

Now, after having a top-three class for 2026 across all of the big recruiting sites, they can take another blue-bloods committed player.

Chris Henry opens up recruitment with USC and Oregon

Chris Henry Jr. is a top wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class and committed to Ohio State. He plays at Mater Dei High School in California, one of the best high schools in the country when it comes to football. He stands 6-foot-5, weighs about 205 pounds, and is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver and a top-five overall player by major recruiting sites.

He committed to Ohio State in 2023, becoming the first recruit in their 2026 class under coach Ryan Day and receivers coach Brian Hartline. But the USC Trojans have a chance to change all of that.

Henry is the son of the late NFL wide receiver Chris Henry Sr., who played for the Cincinnati Bengals. He’s fast, agile, and explosive on the field. A knee injury cut his 2024 junior season short.

As of March 25, 2025, Henry is sticking with Ohio State, but other schools like Oregon, USC, and Miami are trying hard to flip him. He’s visited Oregon multiple times and likes their staff, calling them his second choice. He’s got visits planned to Miami, USC, Oregon, and Ohio State in May and June. With two years until signing day, Ohio State’s strong history with receivers keeps them ahead, but the competition is real.

USC can really pursue him and make a push to flip him. They've done it before, just ask Oregon how Lincoln Riley works. The Trojans are one of the hottest teams in recruiting right now, and getting Henry would only add to that.

Former Trojan wants Lane Kiffin back at USC as the head coach

Former Trojans wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson knows who he wants hired to replace Clay Helton as the head coach at USC. Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin. That's right. Johnson, who played for the Trojans from 1994-1995, said this week on ESPN that if Kiffin's Rebels manage to upset Alabama this weekend, then Kiffin should […]
