Steelers select two household names to address their biggest concerns on both sides of the ball in latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft
If the Pittsburgh Steelers do nothing else in the 2025 NFL Draft, hitting on a WR and CB would be win for the franchise. And while there is a dark horse position starting to get mocked to the Steelers in round one, you can't go wrong with adding help on the perimeter. That's exactly what […]

And while there is a dark horse position starting to get mocked to the Steelers in round one, you can't go wrong with adding help on the perimeter.
That's exactly what Destin Adams of A to Z Sports did in his most recent two-round mock draft…
Steelers go WR, CB in top two rounds of Latest NFL Mock
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
Back-to-back WRs come off the board here with the Steelers giving George Pickens a new partner in crime with Missouri's Luther Burden III. If Burden III were entering the NFL after his 2023 season, he probably wouldn't get out of the top 10. But Missouri's offense taking a step back in 2024 can play in the Steelers' favor as they land a WR whose skill set perfectly complements Pickens'.
Destin Adams, A to Z Sports NFL Draft
Not that anyone will ever live up to the player that Antonio Brown was for the Steelers, and maybe it's the similar color pattern that Burden wore at Missouri, but he and AB share very similar traits…
Small but brawny builds, snappy route running savvy, and the ability to get vertical. Burden might be the best WR in the class, but his down year compared to 2023 has him projected to fall, though the Steelers would be doing no complaining.
53. Pittsburgh Steelers: Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State
Florida State's Azareye'h Thomas showed off his excellent man coverage ability at the Senior Bowl. The Steelers could slide him in as a starter next to Joey Porter Jr. and have a CB duo that would flat-out annoy opposing WRs week in and week out.
-Adams
When I tell you that Thomas is a carbon copy of what the Steelers want from their CBs I'm not exaggerating. He checks all the boxes. Long, physical, handsy at the LOS, and a keen awareness of where the ball is.
I think Destin Adams put it best when he said that Porter Jr. and Thomas would "annoy" WRs on a week-in and week-out basis.
