Xavier Worthy has enjoyed an incredible rookie season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, he can go write some new Longhorns history on Sunday in Super Bowl LIX.
Or will it be Charles Omenihu? What about Moro Ojomo?
Texas exes have played in 19 of the last 20 Super Bowls, and Longhorns have appeared in the big game as far back as four players playing for the New York Jets in 1969.
Throughout the years, no Texas ex has ever scored a touchdown on the NFL’s biggest stage.
Oddsmakers figure Worthy has the best chance to break that odd-but-true string this year, setting the odds at +155 that he’ll score at some point against the Philadelphia Eagles.

But what if Omenihu or Ojomo scoop up a fumble and rumble the other way for a touchdown? Could one of those two defensive players score on a pick-six? It’s possible. And of course, there’s a prop bet for that, too. Although to be fair, oddsmakers don’t think it’ll happen.
The odds of Omenihu scoring were set at +9,000 and Ojomo was set at +9,500. Obviously, those would result in huge paydays.
During Super Bowl week, Omenihu set his own odds of Texas getting to the big stage some point soon with quarterback Arch Manning.
“They are (back),” Omenihu told DLLS Sports during an interview. “They got a quarterback that if he does what he needs to do, I think we should win the national championship in the next two years. If he is who everybody think he is — a runner and a thrower — I see no reason why they shouldn’t.”
Worthy has similar high hopes. “Arch is a dawg, man,” he told podcaster Adam Silverstein. “I expect nothing less than a Heisman. Nothing less than a Heisman.”
