The Las Vegas Raiders are getting very close to having their coaching staff done. They have the two biggest positions filled with Patrick Graham as defensive coordinator and Chip Kelly as offensive coordinator. They grabbed a good quarterback coach, and have slowly started to fill in the pieces over the last few days. They have even dipped their toes into the college football coaching pool and grabbed some talent there.

They were able to get one of the best running back coaches in college football in Deland McCullough from Notre Dame. And now they have hired another coach from the college level.

This guy is another huge hire the Raiders can add to the list.

Beyah Rasool is a college football coach known for his work with defenses, particularly in the secondary. He started his coaching career in high schools around Tucson, Arizona, before moving to college football. Rasool coached at Eastern Arizona College. He later worked at Missouri as a graduate assistant, focusing on safeties and defensive linemen.

After Missouri, Rasool went back to Arizona as a senior defensive analyst, where he worked with defensive backs and led recruiting efforts. In 2023, he joined Bowling Green State University as the cornerbacks coach and special teams assistant. His impact was immediate; the team's secondary performed exceptionally well.

In 2024, Rasool moved to the University of Florida in an analyst role, focusing on cornerbacks. Now, he's in the pros, helping one of the best coaches in the league. If Pete Carroll saw something in him, it's obvious he's ready for the job. Carroll has seen so many coaches throughout his lifetime — he knows a talented coach, assistant or not when he sees one.

And, hey, he said they were only going to hire people who love ball. I guess it's safe to say Rasool loves the game.
