On Friday, CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso took on the seemingly impossible task of trying to name a potential future Hall of Famer on each NFL roster.

Trapasso admitted that finding a potential future Hall of Famer on the Carolina Panthers' roster was maybe his most "difficult decision".

The CBS Sports writer ended up going with defensive lineman Derrick Brown as the potential Hall of Famer on the Panthers' roster.

From CBS Sports: Maybe the most difficult decision in this article. I went with Brown because of his age and the immense promise he's demonstrated when healthy after a slow-ish start to his NFL career. He'll be 27 in April and was a monster on the inside for the Panthers in 2023.

Brown, a first round selection by the Panthers in the 2020 NFL Draft, has had a solid career so far in Carolina, but he has a long way to go if he's going to be wearing a gold jacket one day.

The former Auburn standout has one Pro Bowl appearance (2023) on his resumé. Statistically, Brown has totaled 248 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, and eight sacks so far in his career. He also has two interceptions and 21 passes defensed.

It doesn't help that Brown missed all but one game in 2024 after suffering a meniscus injury in Week One.

Staying healthy will be key for Brown if he's going to have a legitimate shot to be enshrined in Canton one day. He'll have to find a way to increase his production over the next decade, too.
