The Los Angeles Rams have already had quite the offseason without even making any moves yet since their season concluded.

Earlier this week, the Rams informed star wide receiver Cooper Kupp that they will begin the process of finding a trade partner for the former Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl MVP.

The news was a shock to the league and the entire Rams' fanbase, even though this move was always going to be inevitable.

Kupp became the heart and soul of this Rams' offense but given his age and contract, the team believes the best path forward is to part ways.

Once this move is official, the Rams will be lacking another top guy in the passing game with Puka Nacua set to inherit the role as the go-to guy. Finding that next weapon will be an important task for general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay, and a top name might have just presented himself to the Rams.

ESPN's NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler reported on Saturday that New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams is "intrigued" by playing on the West Coast again and named the Rams as one of the three teams he would be open to joining.

Who knows if the Rams share a similar sentiment, but the front office should at least entertain the possibility if Kupp indeed gets moved in the coming weeks.

Once the Kupp news broke, many started bringing up what could happen with quarterback Matthew Stafford. I'd be shocked if he got moved as well, but I'm sure he's going to be upset if Kupp gets traded and there's no structured plan to replace the impact he had on the offense.

Adams is certainly a viable possibility for the Rams to pair with Nacua and he would be killer in McVay's system. Adams played his best ball in a similar style offense ran by Matt LaFleur with the Green Bay Packers.

The 3-time All Pro wide receiver is coming off his fifth consecutive 1,000 yard season despite playing for two different offenses. It's been a long time since Stafford played with this type of wide receiver and adding Adams would ease Stafford's concerns.

The question becomes, would the Rams have to trade for Adams or would they have to win the bidding war on the open market if the Jets outright release him?

In either scenario, it would be hard to see the Rams pay up for the 32-year-old. But, the worst possible scenario would be watching Adams join a division rival in the San Francisco 49ers and team up with Kyle Shanahan.

We'll see how interested the Rams are and what road the front office takes add another impact player that can realistically replace Kupp.
