The Oklahoma Sooners need some help in their 2026 class. Now, it's not that the class is bad, or even a class that is behind, but they do need some weapons. They only have four commits at this time, and that sounds bad, but when you realize the National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes also have four, it makes you feel a bit better.

However, it may be time to start getting some guys to commit to your program pretty soon here. And, after the way the offense was this last year, it's safe to say they could use as many weapons as possible on the offensive side. They were one of the worst offenses in the country last year, which stemmed from bad scheming, bad offensive line play, bad QB play, and even the depth of the receivers wasn't great.

Luckily for them, they have one of the best receivers in the 2026 class keeping an eye on OU.

Davian Groce, a standout wide receiver from Frisco Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas, is considered one of the top prospects in the 2026 class. At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, Groce has shown he can play multiple positions, notably excelling as both a running back and wide receiver. His sophomore year stats were impressive, with 936 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns, and he also recorded 45 receptions for 860 yards with 9 touchdowns, demonstrating his all-around athletic talent.

His remarkable performance has earned him high rankings among recruiting services. 247Sports ranked him as the No. 1 running back in the nation for the 2026 class and the No. 1 overall prospect in Texas.

Groce's recruitment has attracted attention from numerous elite college football programs, including Oklahoma, Texas A&M, SMU, Penn State, and Baylor. His preferences so far start with Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

Beyond football, Groce competes in track, where he ran a sub-11-second 100-meter dash during his freshman year, underlining his speed and athletic versatility.
