The Kansas City Chiefs didn't get put on the right side of history on Sunday night after Super Bowl LIX. Well, if you're a fan of any other team and you wanted to see the Chiefs lose, then they were on the right side of history. But, if you are the Chiefs or a Chiefs fan, they were on the wrong side.
There are a ton of media members and national analysts who want to see greatness out of the Chiefs, something that has never been done before, a three-peat. That didn't happen, as the Philadelphia Eagles smacked around the Chiefs, and basically did whatever they wanted to do on both offense and defense.
Luckily, the Chiefs are still a dynasty, and they can look back and still have something super cool to be proud of. You don't get to the Super Bowl off of luck or even off of hope. They got to the Super Bowl because they had truly put something together. But, even Tom Brady didn't win them all. He lost three of them.
The Chiefs will bounce back, but before they do, one of their starters had to make sure he shared a message with the fan base that could ease the pain a bit.
Today didn’t go our way but I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish this year and the last three years together. I love Kansas City. I pray this isn’t the end but if it is – I just want to say that I love and appreciate every single one of you that welcomed me and supported my family here. You are in my heart forever. – Kansas City Chiefs starting safety Justin Reid
Reid played great at times during the game. He had a huge third down tackle on Jalen Hurts, the Super Bowl MVP, and a few other big plays too. But, it wasn't enough. He knows that and he knows he and the rest of the players could have played better. However, he wanted to go straight to Twitter to let the fan base know he was thinking of them.
Don't get too down on this one, Chiefs fans. This team, with some help from this offseason, has the potential to come back better next season.

The Kansas City Chiefs had an obvious choice to make and they blew it.
