The New Orleans Saints must have a productive 2025 NFL Draft. Kellen Moore must find success in his first class as the head coach in New Orleans – plain and simple.

A mock draft from Luke Easterling was an awesome scenario for the Saints. He released a full three-rounder last week.

Recent Saints mock draft

1st Round, Pick 9 – Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

There are some massive needs on defense for New Orleans, but if the board falls this way, they shouldn't reach to fill any of those while passing up an elite talent on the other side of the ball. McMillan's massive frame and well-rounded skill set have shades of a leaner Mike Evans, and if anyone knows how much of a challenge that kind of player is for opposing defenses, it's the Saints. — Easterling

McMillan is the perfect complement to Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. His stature would provide a downfield target with size for whoever plays quarterback for New Orleans in 2025.

As Easterling notes, this type of scenario puts McMillan on a platter for them. He is a top ten prospect in the class and fills a need in a huge way – literally. Will Johnson, a top CB prospect, was already off the board, as well as DL Mason Graham.

2nd Round, Pick 40 – Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky

Cornerback remains a notable need for the Saints. The entire secondary will need more bodies, and Hairston is a player getting plenty of buzz. He's widely projected to go sometime on day two.

Due to the injury this year, Hairston has become one of the more undervalued cornerbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft class. From a pure man coverage perspective, he has one of the highest upsides in the class. His combination of length, ball skills, and recovery speed should allow him to matchup against a variety of play styles and body types. — Ryan Roberts

3rd Round, Pick 71 – Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas

Improving the pass rush is vital this offseason for the Saints. Brandon Staley, their new defensive coordinator, has had top tier defensive line play in the past – when he has found the most success as a play-caller.

Jackson is a large defender, who has some tools that could push him further up the board than this.

3rd Round, Pick 93 – Wyatt Milum, OL, West Virginia

Milum is a bit of an enigma. Some people think he could go late in round one. Others believe round three is definitely in play for him. Potentially, the actual outcome for him is somewhere in between.

Regardless, I would be surprised if the Saints do not take an offensive lineman sometime on day one or two of this year's draft. In this mock, they do exactly that, and Milum could compete for a starting spot immediately.
