The 2025 NFL Draft and free agency are fully in the rear view at this point, and the Detroit Lions are onto their rookie mini-camp this weekend. We're fully on our way to training camp in late July.
That doesn't mean the Lions are done with acquisitions or releases. Detroit could still very much be making some moves in the next couple of months. But how much? Let's take a look at what the Lions did between the draft and training camp last year to get an idea.
- Signed defensive tackle Kyle Peko on May 7th.
- Signed safety C.J. Moore on May 7th.
- Signed wide receiver Kaden Davis and tight end Parker Hesse after tryouts at rookie mini-camp on March 13th.
- Signed tight end Sean McKeon and released tight end Isaac Rex on March 16th.
- Signed linebacker Ben Niemann and waived linebacker Steele Chambers on June 10th.
- Released cornerback Craig James on June 12.
- Signed kicker Jake Bates on June 15th.
- Waived kicker James Turner on June 18th.
- Signed guard Ike Boettger on July 22nd.
- Signed defensive tackle David Bada on July 25th.
- Signed guard Matt Farniok on July 27th.
- Signed linebacker Malik Jefferson on July 27th.
