The Los Angeles Chargers are done as far as the 2025 postseason goes, but there's positives to look forward to in the future.

Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert struggled alongside LA's bad offensive line play and lackluster pass catching performances (outside of Ladd McConkey).

Regardless, one of the best of his teammates is sticking up for the QB for Los Angeles.

Khalil Mack defends Justin Herbert

After the Chargers' loss to the Texans, the veteran pass rusher went to bat for his quarterback. Herbert struggled against Houston, but Mack's confidence has not wavered in the team's QB.

"We win as a team, we lose as a team. One game doesn't erase what Justin's done for us."

“Who gives a f— about what anybody has to say about that guy. Nobody knows what he went through this year.”

— Khalil Mack on Justin Herbert

Mack also said that he believes that Herbert will be an all-time great in the NFL.

It's nice to see the long-time defender support his QB. Many wouldn't be quite as bold as him after Herbert had a rough performance in his second playoff game, both of which have been losses.

Mack has showed major support for Herbert on multiple occasions this season. This did not come out of nowhere from the vet, whatsoever.

As for Herbert, this was a disastrous loss, but he is still the quarterback of the future for the Chargers. He's not going anywhere, and he's proven to be one of the most exciting young QBs in football.

Mack would agree with the sentiment. We'll see if he returns to the Chargers defense in 2025.
