Every season when the NFL playoffs come around, you know the Ohio State Buckeyes are going to be well-represented in the chase for a Super Bowl.

One former Buckeye had his season end in disappointing fashion on Sunday when the Green Bay Packers fell to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Former Ohio State OL Josh Myers has been the starting center for Green Bay for the last few years and he ended his 2024 season with an injury.

Though the injury looked bad and Myers had to be carted off, there is hope that it was not as serious as it looked. Which, is good news for Myers, since he is heading into free agency now that the season is wrapped up.

Myers thought that he had broken his leg clean against the Eagles, but now it may be just a hairline fracture. Myers started 16 games for the Packers this season and has started all 56 games he has played with Green Bay over the last four seasons.

After a standout career in Columbus, the Packers selected Myers in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Myers started all six games that he played in with Green Bay.

Myers was recruited as a four-star player out of Miamisburg, Ohio. As a Buckeye, Myers started 21 of his final 22 games. Myers became a starter in 2019 and was a staple along the offensive line for a pair of seasons.

With free agency ahead, Myers’ next spot is unknown at this time. He could land with another team, which would have him moving away from Green Bay. It is unfortunate that Myers went out with an injury in potentially his last game as a Packer.
