The Las Vegas Raiders didn't get many things right this year, but one that they did was drafting Brock Bowers, where they were able to get the league's best tight end at pick No. 13, which is honestly a steal when you think about the production that he had this year.

Most of the other rookies this year aren't even touching the type of production that Bowers has had, and yet, Bowers was taken at pick No. 13, which I'm sure Raiders fans are very excited about now, more than they were on draft night when they wanted a quarterback, and rightfully so.

The Raiders really got lucky in that aspect. But what wasn't lucky, was the season that he put together. He was the best tight end in the league this year, in a bad offense, with three different quarterbacks, where he was oftentimes the defense's main focus. Yet, he still put up crazy numbers.

So now the conversation shifts to the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. The Raiders are on a two-game win streak after wins over the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints, and have one game left against the Los Angeles Chargers. That will be the final game that decides who wins the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

If you ask one of the guys who spends the most time with him, his answer is clear. In fact, he laid the hammer down on why Bowers is the obvious answer.

"Look at the records, look at the stats," Antonio Pierce said.

Blunt, yes, but also honest.

Bowers has broken pretty much every tight-end rookie record you can think of and then broke the rookie receptions record held by Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, for any pass catcher in the history of the sport. He's that good.

Like Pierce said, look at the records.
