The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the Detroit Lions on Sunday night in the biggest game in the history of the NFC North. Both teams will be competing for the NFC North and the top seed in the conference, something that's never been done before.
The first injury report is out for the huge matchup and the Vikings have multiple players on the first one.
- ILB Kamu Grugier-Hill (illness): Did not practice
- OLB Pat Jones II (knee): Did not practice
- FB C.J. Ham (quad): Limited
- RB Aaron Jones (quad): Limited
- CB Fabian Moreau (hip): Limited
- S Harrison Smith (foot): Limited
- TE Josh Oliver (wrist): Full
We expected Jones to miss some practice time due to the knee injury he suffered against the Green Bay Packers on a controversial hit by tight end Tucker Kraft. The surprise was Grugier-Hill with an illness. It is that time of year for sickness to happen, but he has a few days to get better.
Jones did tell the media on Wednesday that he will be ready for Sunday's game. That would be huge for a Lions defense that is decimated in the front seven. However, they may be getting back linebacker Alex Anzalone back, as they activated his practice window and was a limited participant.
- RB David Montgomery (knee): Did not practice
- CB Emmanuel Mosley (illness): Did not practice
- LB Alex Anzalone (forearm): Limited
- LB Jack Campbell (rib): Limited
- CB AmikRobertson (calf): Limited
- WR Kalif Raymond (foot): Full
