You don’t often see leading receivers for SEC programs enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, but we saw just that on Wednesday when star Texas A&M pass catcher Noah Thomas officially entered. Thomas is coming off of a season where he led the Aggies with 39 receptions for 574 yards and eight touchdowns.

A massive target at 6-6 and 200 pounds, Thomas has been an integral part of the passing attack for the Aggies each of the last two seasons. The Pearland, Texas native is an inviting target, possessing a towering frame and really smooth change of direction skills. He ended his Texas A&M career with 73 receptions for 984 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Thomas was originally a member of the 2022 recruiting class for the Aggies. He chose Texas A&M over other offers from Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee, South Carolina, SMU, Arkansas, Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado, Houston, Kansas, and Cal among others. Thomas ended up ranked as a four-star and the No. 44 wide receiver on the 247Sports Composite ranking.

We have seen a makeover at wide receiver for the Aggies so far this offseason, so the move by Thomas wasn’t too big of a surprise when you really dive deep into the decision. The program has already secured commitments from Micah Hudson (Texas Tech), Kevin Concepcion (NC State), and Mario Craver (Mississippi State). Wide receiver was a problem area for the Aggies this season, and they see tackling it head on this offseason.

With so much experience, as well as solid production and size, Thomas promises to be a popular target in the portal. His market should be substantial, and it wouldn’t be overly surprising for him to be a key target for several bigger programs.
