Chicago Bears' quarterback Caleb Williams is already off to quite an eventful first offseason following his first season in the NFL.

Williams was involved in a hilarious and harmless prank a few days back in which a group of kids pretended to be Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to mess with Williams after getting his phone number.

Earlier this week, Williams addressed the prank on the St. Brown Podcast and reflected on the season. On Saturday, Williams was back in California cheering on his former college, USC, while the program was taking on Wisconsin in men's basketball.

However, fans quickly noticed a concerning thing with their young quarterback. Williams was court-side with a small cast on his right throwing hand while also showing off a new hair cut.

Soon after the video went viral, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport revealed that Williams had a cyst removed, which is why he has the cast on. It's a minor concern and nothing to be worried about.

But, you can see why everyone would be concerned. Williams played all 17 games during his rookie season, but took a major beating along the way, being sacked a league-high 68 times.

Williams never had any injuries reported during the season but one could imagine with the amount of hits he took, a minor repair of some sort could have been beneficial for Williams to start the offseason.

The only thing Williams did mention about the offseason was that he planned to push himself to exhaustion both mentally and physically to prepare for his sophomore season, nothing was ever mentioned about any upcoming surgeries.

“This offseason’s gonna be a big offseason for me and I’m excited about it,” Williams said. "I have things, maturity-wise, of playing the position that I’m excited about learning. Things are gonna take time and I’m well aware of that and OK with that, but I’m definitely going to try and push myself to exhaustion mentally and physically this offseason to be able to withstand a long season.”

Luckily this recent news is nothing to be worried about with the team's franchise quarterback.
