A former Tennessee Vols defensive back is transferring for a second time in two years.

Former Vols cornerback Cristian Conyer announced on Wednesday that he's transferring to Appalachian State.

Conyer spent the 2024 season at Coastal Carolina after transferring from Tennessee following the 2023 season.

Conyer is a former three-star recruit from Bowling Green, KY who signed with Tennessee during the 2023 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-1 defensive back played in 10 games for the Vols in 2023, recording one tackle in limited action.

Conyer totaled 9 tackles and one interception for Coastal Carolina in 2024.

Last month, former Tennessee running back Khalifa Keith transferred to Appalachian State. Keith, who spent two seasons with the Vols, was teammates with Conyer at Tennessee in 2023.
