Not only did the Tampa Bay Buccaneers come back and beat the arch rival New Orleans Saints to clinch both another NFC South title and playoff spot, but Mike Evans eclipsed 1,000 yards in a season for the 11th consecutive time.

It was really a fairytale ending, especially after the previous struggles the Bucs experienced throughout the game. This Sunday couldn't get any better, right?

Wrong.

Thanks to the Seattle Seahawks' 30-25 win over the Los Angeles Rams, the Bucs are now the NFC's third seed. They moved up from the No. 4 seed, but there's more to it than just moving up a notch in the pecking order.

Thanks to the Seahawks' win, the Bucs will avoid playing either the Detroit Lions or Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round. Instead, they'll play the Washington Commanders, who barely escaped the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Even though Jayden Daniels and co. have been sensational, they're obviously a much better matchup than the Lions or Vikings. Those two teams are juggernauts and it won't be a surprise if they meet up for a third showdown in the NFC Championship Game.

Plus, they're just bad matchups for the Bucs, even if the Lions are dealing with a ton of injuries. Both teams are well-coached with talent all over the roster and said talent has the edge against a banged-up Bucs defense. The Lions defense is bound to have trouble with the Bucs offense, but that can't be said for the Vikings. Minnesota's offense is bound to present plenty of issues, as well, especially when considering the fact that they have solid-to-elite talent at almost every single position.

Either way, Seattle's win is also a win for the Bucs. We'll see if they can take advantage of it and beat the Commanders for the second time this year when they host them in the Wild Card next week.
