The USC Trojans are one of the few college football programs that didn't make the college football playoffs, or even come near, that have really picked up some steam in terms of recruiting. You would think them losing JuJu Lewis would only make them start to plummet when it comes to recruiting. But, they only got better.

They then ended up grabbing Husan Longstreet and Jakeem Stewart afterward, only helping get their class for 2025 to the top 15 on every site. For 2026, they already have eight commits, and currently sit as the second-best class, with the potential to finish top-three by this time next year.

And, they aren't stopping anytime soon. Now, they want to flip another quarterback from one of their biggest rivals, the Oregon Ducks.

Trojans trying to flip 2026 QB Jonas Williams

Jonas Williams, a 4-star quarterback from the 2026 class, has committed to the University of Oregon. He's from Frankfort, Illinois, and plays at Lincoln-Way East High School, but, he could be playing for USC next year, for all we know. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, he's ranked as one of the top quarterbacks in his class, around No. 7 or No. 8 nationally, depending on which site you look at.

Williams committed to Oregon in August of 2024, choosing them over Alabama, LSU, USC and Ohio State after several visits to Eugene, particularly impressed by the coaching staff during an elite prospect camp. His accuracy, mobility, and fit for Oregon's offensive style make him a key recruit for the Ducks' 2026 class, which is considered strong due to talents like him.

However, after having him on a visit this last weekend in Los Angeles, USC is trying hard to flip him in the Trojans' favor. It's not going to be easy to do, but, the Trojans believe they can.
