USC Trojans just landed one of the most underrated recruits in the country to help make their defense even better the next few years
The USC Trojans have really picked up some steam for their 2026 recruiting class, now having nearly 10 committed players. The USC Trojans have really picked up some steam for their 2026 recruiting class, now having nearly 10 committed players. It's early, but they currently have the second-best class in the country, behind the Oregon Ducks, who currently have 10 total commits with eight being four stars. But, the Trojans are moving in a positive direction nonetheless.
And, they are addressing both sides of the ball. This team, since Lincoln Riley has become head coach, has really struggled on the defensive side of the ball. Yes, they were better last year, but still not to the level they needed to be at. In the BIG 10, everyone plays hard, physical defense. So, you have to be ready to match that.
The Trojans currently have six commits on the defensive side of the ball, out of eight total. Well, that was until they just added one more commit, who is also on the defensive side of the ball. The Trojans are trying extremely hard to up that side of the ball because they know that's ultimately what will allow them to compete with some of the best teams. But, even with their focus fully on the 2026 class now, they are still landing some 2025 players last minute that could be big time for the program.
Trojans land underrated LB
AJ Tuitele, a linebacker from Mojave High School in North Las Vegas, NV, has become a notable figure in high school football. In his senior year, he amassed 196 tackles, 39 for loss, nine passes defended, five sacks, and two forced fumbles, making him one of the top linebacker recruits nationally.
Tuitele initially committed to Washington State but was released from his commitment after a coaching change there. This led to a flurry of new offers from schools like USC, Texas, Arizona, and UNLV. USC had shown keen interest, in hosting him for an official visit. With National Signing Day here, he made the decision to go to USC.
The Trojans are truly getting a linebacker that I believe is better than what his star rating would tell.
Former Trojan wants Lane Kiffin back at USC as the head coach
Former Trojans wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson knows who he wants hired to replace Clay Helton as the head coach at USC. Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin. That's right. Johnson, who played for the Trojans from 1994-1995, said this week on ESPN that if Kiffin's Rebels manage to upset Alabama this weekend, then Kiffin should […]
