The Las Vegas Raiders have found themselves in a weird situation, one that doesn't happen all too often in the NFL, or any sport for that matter. With reports coming out that the Raiders were hiring Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant general manager John Spytek as the GM, the Raiders were on track to finally land their head coach.

But, on Thursday, things got crazy.

With the team not announcing that the hire was official yet, it started to feel like something could be up. Liam Coen, the offensive coordinator for the Buccaneers, interviewed for the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach vacancy twice but ultimately decided that the job wasn't for him. He returned back to Tampa with an extension ready to sign from the Buccaneers.

Only, he never signed it. The Buccaneers have been trying to contact him, and they seem to not be able to get a hold of him. Well, that's because he's in Jacksonville, again, this time getting close to a deal to become head coach, only because the Jaguars fired GM Trent Baalke after their second interview with Coen.

So now Coen is suddenly interested in that job. And you may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with the Raiders?

Well, The Jaguars, if they sign Coen, will be immediately looking for a GM. If Spytek never signed with the Raiders, why wouldn't he go be a GM for his buddy Coen, as the two have worked together already for a few years now?

Sure, Tom Brady is good friends with Spytek, but that doesn't guarantee anything. And, it was reported almost two days ago that Spytek was the guy, and we haven't heard anything from the Raiders. Could this be the Raiders getting the rug pulled out from under their feet?

If the Jaguars get Coen, and it's starting to look like they will, you have to believe that Spytek will be on their radar, seeing how things aren't official in Las Vegas yet.
