For Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, Sunday night against the Buffalo Bills was the latest in a growing line of early playoff exits.

Fair or not, that falls at the feet of what is soon to be 3x MVP QB Lamar Jackson.

But it seems he's not ready to admit there's any pattern to the postseason struggles…

Lamar Jackson chalks it up to a bad game

"I mean, that's just how things roll," said Jackson when asked about losing in the playoffs yet again despite a strong regular season. "Like I said, I saw it was man coverage, I just didn't get my eyes on the safety. There wouldn't have been interception. But going back to the fumble… I still gotta hold onto the ball. Bad snap…Not holding the ball…Just go down. It's a playoff game. Knowing that in a split second, I'm just trying to make something happen. But just go down."

Jackson may escape the brunt of the blame given what happened with Mark Andrews down the stretch and the stellar second half he put up, but people are going to see the two turnovers and what is now a 3-5 record in the playoffs and point the finger, and that's before analyzing his fumble woes.

Lamar Jackson posted a fantastic season in terms of his passing touchdowns (41) to interception (4) ratio, which is why he was in the MVP conversation all year long. But he also lost 10 fumbles on the year. 2024 marked his second consecutive season with double-digit fumbles. He's also lost at least five fumbles every single year of his career.

Like I've been saying all season, every time we're in situations like this, turnovers play a factor," Jackson said after the game. "Penalties play a factor. Tonight, it was turnovers. We can't have that sh**. And that's why we lost the game. As you can see, we're moving the ball wonderfully. Hold onto the f***-ing ball. I'm sorry for my language, but this sh** is annoying. I'm tired of this sh**."

Another early exit after catching fire at the end of the season will have many wondering what's next for Baltimore. But one thing is clear, if Lamar Jackson is your QB, you will always be in the fight.
