The Oklahoma Sooners have one of the best offensive tackles in the country at the high school level, coming into the program this upcoming year. 2025 freshman Michael Fasusi, who chose Oklahoma over in-state schools like the Texans Longhorns and Texas A&M, is set to be a key player and the future of the Oklahoma Sooners on the offensive line for years to come.

He has participated in a few different All-American and all-star games before entering the college level, and every single one of them he has been one of the best players there. At the Under Armour All-American game, he won the MVP for best player and had the best weekend.

At the Polynesian Bowl, he also had a great weekend and had one of the best plays you will see from an offensive lineman.

Oklahoma Sooners' Michael Fasusi at the Polynesian Bowl

The Polynesian Bowl is an annual showcase for elite high school football players, bringing together the best seniors from around the U.S. to Hawaii. This event not only highlights football prowess but also celebrates Polynesian culture with a range of activities and festivities.

Scheduled for late December or early January, the game is a prime scouting opportunity for college football recruiters. It features athletes who have excelled in high school, offering them practices and team-building exercises that simulate college football life, which can be pivotal as they navigate the recruitment phase.

The event extends beyond sports, embedding Polynesian cultural elements like traditional dances, music, and games. This cultural enrichment educates both participants and spectators about Polynesian heritage, deepening their cultural appreciation. Community engagement is also a key component and helps get players ready for community events in college, such as drives, meet and greets, charity work, and other things.

For Fasusi, he was busy throwing around defensive linemen.

This is one of the best highlights you will see from an offensive lineman at the high school level. The technique was great, and the strength was on full display. Now, imagine when he gets into a system like the one offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh at Oklahoma has.
