The National Football League doesn't like when players and coaches criticize the officials and they levy huge fines for it.
The latest recipient of a fine is Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon, who was fined $25,000 for criticizing the officials after Saturday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Needless to say, Mixon was not happy about the fine and took to social media to say so, including the accusation where he didn't say the comments.

Mixon's agent, Peter Schaffer, released a statement about Mixon's fine, stating the absurdity of it and that they will be appealing.
We will defend Joe and have appealed the fine and will explore all other legal avenues to rectify this situation. This has to stop. What’s next, the NFL fining Joe for Connor McDavid cross checking in an NHL game?
What's really interesting about the criticism that supposedly came from Mixon is the accusation from him and his agent Schaffer that Mixon never said it himself. Local reporter from Fox 26 Houston Will Kunkel came out in defense of Mixon, as he posted the entire clip of his postgame interview and said that he never said it.
He also included the video which you can see in the tweet below.
The NFL is very quick to hand out fines for anything, especially criticizing officiating. That is the number one thing you do not do, as the league is very sensitive to criticism. We've seen many individuals get massive fines for lesser and worse comments than what Mixon supposedly said.
Now, just because Mixon was fined for supposedly saying this, doesn't mean it will stick. He will go through the appeal process and could see the fine rescinded. That hearing will likely occur within the next week or so and news of the appeal will likely come shortly after.
