Russell Wison may not have much longer in a Pittsburgh Steelers uniform.
With tons of QB rumors flying, the writing is on the wall when it comes to what the Steelers will decide to do in the future.
But if Wilson is to only play for the Black and Gold for one season, at least he can say it earned him a Pro Bowl bid…
Russell Wilson named 2024-2025 Pro Bowler
Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson was named to the Pro Bowl Games as a replacement for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who is unable to play due to an injury.
Wilson will be making his 10th Pro Bowl appearance (2012-15, 2017-21, 2024), which is tied for fifth-most among quarterbacks in NFL history.
Wilson started the final 11 games of the 2024 season after coming back from a calf injury he suffered at the start of training camp.

It's a bit of an odd addition considering that Wilson and the Steelers lost five games in a row to end the season. Heading into the playoff game against Baltimore, there was a lot of talk about Justin Fields potentially supplanting Russell Wilson and when you analyze his numbers (2,482 passing yards, 16 TDS, and 5 ints) they don't exactly resemble that of a top three QB in the AFC.
But with Josh Allen sitting out due to injury and Lamar Jackson just sitting out entirely, it was between Wilson and Denver Broncos rookie Bo Nix as the final QB since rookie Drake Maye was already on his way to Orlando.
But Nix is said to be having a clean-up surgery and will also not be attending the games, meaning, well Wilson was the best of the rest.
With it marking the 10th time that Wilson made the Pro Bowl, it's just another feather in his cap in terms of a potential Hall of Fame career.
The question is, what will become of his NFL future, and what the voters make of his past three seasons, including the ways things ended in Pittsburgh? That much is unknown.
