Prior to the 2024 season, Washington State offensive lineman Fa’alili Fa’amoe was viewed as potentially one of the top players at his position in the 2025 NFL Draft class. A three-year starter for the Cougars, Fa’amoe got off to a slightly slow start this fall, missing the first three games. After a couple of games to get him back into the groove, he assumed his role as dominant force at right tackle.

The NFL had a flurry of Day Two (rounds 2-3) grades heading into the season on him, but that injury did setback his draft stock a bit. A return to college in 2025 became apparent about halfway through the season, but nobody had a strong feeling about whether it would continue in a Washington State uniform or not.

We got our answer on Monday when Fa’amoe opted to enter his name in the transfer portal to see what other opportunities are out there. With a ton of starting experience, legitimate NFL upside, and an outstanding combination of movement skills and power, you can bet the market for Fa’amoe is going to be massive.

For those who follow the transfer portal and the demand out there, offensive linemen are always right near the top of the totem pole. Some crazy money is being thrown around right now, and for players who probably aren’t quite worth the price tag. Fa’amoe, in comparison, is worth that type of investment.

The talented offensive lineman has the skill set to obviously play right tackle, but the power profile to also play inside at guard as well. That position flexibility makes him even more valuable. For the money that is already out there, Fa’amoe has a chance to break the bank.

With offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle taking over at the University of Oklahoma, the Sooners should obviously be a school to watch with that preexisting relationship. They will, however, not be the only one. There will be a lot of schools interested, and a bidding war could ensue.
