The Dallas Cowboys are dealing with a few injuries across their offensive line going into the final stretch of the season. They've lost right guard Zack Martin for the year, left tackle Tyler Guyton is banged up (and has been seemingly benched), and now it's center Cooper Beebe who might miss some time as a concussion is expected to keep him out from Week 15.
Naturally, that means there's a shake up to the Cowboys O-line room, which additionally means they might be forced to call up some talent from the practice squad for depth purposes.
As a result, the Cowboys are signing offensive lineman Braeden Daniels, a former fourth-round pick for the Washington Commanders in 2023. Daniels also spent a week this year with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Daniels is probably not much other than a depth signing, considering his career hasn't gone the way he would've liked it to. He was placed on IR as a rookie last year and was released before the season began. In 2024, the Cowboys will be his fourth team, after brief stints with the Eagles, Los Angeles Chargers, and Houston Texans.
Daniels, Texas-born and a former Utah Utes player, is 6-foot-4 and weighs 297 pounds.
At offensive line, the Cowboys' practice squad also counts with Dakoda Shepley and Josh Ball. Chances are there's a gameday elevation over the weekend ahead of the team's trip to face the Carolina Panthers.
