The Las Vegas Raiders need to lose the rest of the games they play. It's imperative that they do. We all know that this team needs a new quarterback, specifically one that can be the franchise guy for years and years, leading them to postseason success, something they haven't had in 20 years.

Here's the tough part about that, though: The Raiders, players, and coaches, are not going to intentionally lose games. And they just so happen to be playing two pretty bad teams without their starting QBs the next few games. The Jacksonville Jaguars have Mac Jones at QB, and the New Orleans Saints will not have Derek Carr.

And, the Raiders have some news that doesn't help their case, either. They will play with their starting quarterback Aidan O'Connell, and not backup quarterback Desmond Ridder.

"Yeah. I mean, [O'Connell] looks like he was good to go yesterday. He’ll have another good day. So, he should be good to go on Sunday," head coach Antonio Pierce said.

The Raiders need to lose this game, but O'Connell is much better than Ridder is, and gives them a better chance to win than Ridder would have. Sure, O'Connell is a career backup at this point, but we have seen what he can do, where he nearly won the game for the Raiders against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Raiders could very well win on Sunday.
