Indiana lost 27-17 to Notre Dame on Friday night in the first round of the College Football Playoff. The game wasn't as close as the final score indicated. But the Hoosiers played hard until the end which made the final score respectable.
Last month, Indiana lost 38-15 to Ohio State in a noon game in Columbus.
Both the Vols and the Hoosiers were clearly overmatched against the Buckeyes.
Ohio State, however, played arguably its best game of the season against Tennessee. The Buckeyes' performance on Saturday night against the Vols was the best they've looked all season. If Ohio State would've played that way against Indiana, they undoubtedly win by more than 23 points.
So this idea that Indiana would smoke Tennessee? I don't see that at all. Ohio State just happens to be really good, while the Vols and the Hoosiers clearly have some work to do.
