The Buffalo Bills are very much in the hunt for a deep playoff run this year, but it's never too early to have an eye on the future.

After the latest 2025 NFL mock draft, it's clear that some trends are taking shape for what's needed for this team going forward. Let's take a look at the selections made in this three-round mock, and what they might mean for the Bills.

Pick 29: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

I could have gone pass rusher here for the Bills, but fortunately, the best player on my board just happens to fill a need for the team. Kenneth Grant is a ready-made one-technique with his size, power, and athleticism. He can anchor and hold the point of attack against double teams with ease. Grant is more than just a run stuffer, however, as he is surprisingly nimble for his size, suggesting some potential upside as a pass rusher.  – AJ Schulte

I couldn't agree more with AJ on this pick. If somehow Kenneth Grant is there for the Bills, it fits one of the biggest needs with an incredibly talented nose tackle to anchor the middle of the defensive line for years to come. Buffalo has DaQuan Jones as the entrenched starter, but it's time to start planning for the succession plan.

Pick 61: Jared Ivey, EDGE, Ole Miss

After getting a defensive line stalwart in the first round, the Bills go pass rush in the second rough. Almost every single mock that I've seen or been a part of has the Bills addressing DT and EDGE with their first two picks. Jared Ivey has an unbelievable get-off, has the size that the Bills will love at 6'6" 285 lbs, and he'll be at the Senior Bowl, something that Brandon Beane loves. This is a great fit, and continues to bolster a weakness that's needed opposite Greg Rousseau.

Pick 62: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

Cornerback is an interesting topic for the Bills. Christian Benford is emerging into a star, but Rasul Douglas is in the last year of his contract, and the Kaiir Elam first round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft is not trending in the right direction. Adding Trey Amos, an Alabama transfer that has stood out with his size, speed, sticky coverage, and college football-leading nine passes defended, would make a ton of sense for Buffalo.
