If Ohio State wants to wash away the bad feeling of losing to Michigan, they have the opportunity right in front of them. It starts with beating Tennessee in the first round of the College Football Playoff and making a run.

The Buckeyes will have to play Oregon if they were to beat Tennessee. Oregon beat Ohio State back in October, 32-31, in a close game at home. Another battle could soon happen.

Oregon is a trendy pick to win it all and they’ve earned that with a perfect record. Ahead of the playoff, former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer was asked if Oregon was his pick to win it all.

"They are," Meyer said when asked of his national championship pick via The Triple Option. "I think they're the fastest team in the country. They looked like they lost a little gas in the second half against Penn State, but when they're on all cylinders, they're the best team in the country.

"I think they're the most balanced team defensively, right now. And they're playing at a high level."
