This year has been awful for the Las Vegas Raiders when it comes to the injury bug. Sure, every team gets injuries, but you know it's bad when Maxx Crosby missed his first game ever this season.
Crosby is a guy who does not miss games. He plays through everything. Remember last season when he was sent to the ER because his knee was swollen three times bigger than his other knee? Yet, he played the very next day and actually had a good game. That's the type of dude Crosby is.
So, when we hear the news we just heard, you know this has really been a bad year for the Raiders on the injury front.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders could be without Crosby for the remainder of the season. This comes just hours after the team listed him as OUT on the final injury report of the week for their game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Crosby is expected to have a second opinion done on his foot injury and could have surgery that would have him out for the year.
While we hate to hear news like this, it has to make some Raiders fans feel good. Now, you don't have your franchise player playing meaningless games, and you can have a better chance of losing the rest of the games on the schedule.
After this game on Monday Night Football, the Raiders are set to play the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are also trying to lose the rest of their games.
