Week 16 kicks off with the 9-5 Denver Broncos traveling to Los Angeles to take on the 8-6 Chargers.
These two AFC West rivals are battling for the highest possible wild-card playoff seed. The Broncos are rolling, winners of their last three games, while the Chargers are riding a two-game losing streak.
There are no shortage of playmakers in this matchup, so let's take a look at our best prop bets for this game.
*Odds subject to change
Chargers QB Justin Herbert UNDER 228.5 passing yards (-115) – DraftKings
Herbert has struggled to stretch the field with starting running back J.K. Dobbins out. Dobbins will not be playing in this game, and the Broncos have a great defense, allowing just 217 passing yards per game and 6.5 yards per completion. Herbert hasn't reached 229 passing yards in nine games this season, including in any of his last four outings.
Broncos QB Bo Nix OVER 1.5 passing touchdowns (+155) – bet365
Nix has been throwing the ball a lot as of late, averaging 36 passing attempts over his last four games. He has struggled with interceptions a bit, but has also thrown multiple touchdown passes in four of his last five games. The Broncos don't have much of a rushing attack and only have 10 touchdowns on the ground this season, tied for the fourth-least in the NFL.
Chargers WR Ladd McConkey OVER 5.5 receptions (-114) – FanDuel
McConkey by far leads all Chargers pass catchers in targets with 88 and receptions with 63, and has caught at least six passes in four of his last seven games. Broncos star cornerback Patrick Surtain II suffered an ankle injury on Sunday, and although he may play in this game, he could a bit hobbled and limited on a short week, which could open things up more for McConkey.
Broncos QB Courtland Sutton OVER 62.5 receiving yards (-115) – BetMGM
Like McConkey with Los Angeles, Sutton is by far and away the top pass catcher for the Broncos. His production was down last week, but previous to that Sutton easily reached 63 receiving yards in six-straight games. The Chargers' secondary got cooked by Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan last week, as they combined for 234 yards.
