Best part of Raiders' 2024 season is already getting the biggest compliment he can get by the people who matter most

With only three wins on the year, the Las Vegas Raiders haven't had much go their way this season. But, I think we can all agree that the best thing to happen in 2024 for the silver and black was drafting Brock Bowers, who, as a rookie was the best tight end in the league in 2024. And, let's not forget, that was with three different quarterbacks, all of who haven't been very good, in a bad offense where he is pretty much the guy the defense knows will be the primary target.
Bowers is doing things that we have never seen from a rookie before. He is impressing everyone in the league, and people not in the league anymore. If the Raiders had more success as a team, and didn't have just three wins on the year, he would be the clear favorite for AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year.
But, this year it will go to a quarterback, which will likely be Bo Nix of the Denver Broncos. Even if Bowers doesn't get it, the Raiders still have a player who is obviously destined for greatness. In fact, we heard a bit of that from one of the guys he needs to hear it from the most.
“He’s (Brock Bowers) a legend already, it’s amazing what he’s doing….Tommy’s gonna do a great job and he’s gonna bring in great players, that’s for sure,” Rob Gronkowski said.
If there is any person in the world that Bowers should be listening to, it may very well be Gronkowski, who is pretty much considered the greatest tight end of all time by many, especially when he played for the New England Patriots. Either he or Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who just surpassed 1,000 career catches.
Here is what Brock Bowers did on Sunday alone against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to the Raiders PR team:
TE Brock Bowers has now become one of nine tight ends of any experience level in NFL history to record 95 receptions through the first 15 games of a single season. TE Brock Bowers now has the second most receiving yards in NFL history by a tight end in their rookie season – the most since 1961 (Mike Ditka, 1,076), passing Kyle Pitts (1,026 in 2021). TE Brock Bowers has now passed Darren Waller (98 in 2023) for the most receptions by a tight end through 15 games of a single season in Raiders history. Bowers also ties Tim Brown (4 in 1997) for the most games of 10+ receptions in a single season in Raiders history. TE Brock Bowers has notched his fourth game of 10+ catches in 2024, joining Odell Beckham Jr. (4) as the only two rookies at any position in NFL history to record four games of 10+ receptions in his first season. Yes, that's a pretty long list. But that's just how impressive he is, as he is doing something new literally every single day. Bowers is the future of this team and he is easily the future of the league at his position.
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers just had the best game of any rookie at his position ever
The Raiders have a special kid.
