One of the top 2026 recruits in the nation is hoping to visit the Tennessee Vols in January.
2026 five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho told On3 that he's scheduled to visit Texas A&M on January 11. After that visit, Iheanacho is hoping to visit Tennessee and Oklahoma sometime in January.
“I hope to visit Oklahoma and Tennessee in January too," said Iheanacho. "Maybe the weekends after I visit Texas A&M. Those are not set yet, but those are schools I am looking to visit for the first time soon.”
If Iheanacho makes it to Rocky Top in January, it will be his first time visiting Tennessee.
Iheanacho, 6-foot-6/345 lbs from Rockville, MD, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Maryland. He's also rated as the No. 2 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class. He's planning to announce his commitment in August (though that could obviously change).
Essentially all of the major programs are in the mix for Iheanacho, which means this will be an extremely competitive recruiting battle.
Tennessee, however, showed during the 2025 recruiting cycle that they can land an elite offensive lineman (five-star offensive lineman David Sanders) over one of the top programs in the nation (Ohio State). Josh Heupel and his staff will hope to recreate that magic in the battle for Iheanacho.
The Vols currently have the No. 5 2026 recruiting class in the nation, which is headlined by five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon.
