NFL insider reveals that the Las Vegas Raiders could land former fan favorite head coach as their next one
The Las Vegas Raiders could very well move on from Antonio Pierce this offseason. They gave Josh McDaniels a year and some games before Pierce took over as interim, and it feels like they may do that for Pierce, too, as he has put together a much worse resume than McDaniels did. And, to me, […]

And, to me, the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars may have actually hurt him. Because before that game he could have pled his case that, at least he got the Raiders the quarterback they have been so desperate for. But, after that win, they drop below the New York Giants in the draft order, falling to pick No. 6.
With games left against the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Chargers, who could sit their players, the Raiders could fall even further down than No. 6, which would certainly not be good. And that's enough to get him fired if you ask me.
So, where do the Raiders go from there? Of course, the two popular names that fans are interested in at the moment seem to be Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, and Liam Coen, the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Of course, now another name is being thrown into the mix and the drama.
According to Brian Costello, a beat reporter and insider for the New York Jets, the team he covers is not the front runner to land Mike Vrabel, the former Tennessee Titans head coach and now Cleveland Browns staffer. It was rumored that the Jets are front runners to land Vrabel, but he seems to think differently.
"I think Vrabel is heading for the Raiders … murmurings in the league have him going to Las Vegas."
Now, I'm not sure how real this is, or how much steam is behind it, but what I do know is that he would be a perfect fit for the Raiders. He is Antonio Pierce, but an actual good coach, not just a motivator. That's what the Raiders need. I think he would do a good job and getting this team back to the playoffs consistently.
