Detroit Lions mailbag: The best college player for the Lions and just how good has Terrion Arnold been lately?

Welcome to Week 15 of the Detroit Lions Mailbag. We have a ton of questions today, so I'm not going to waste any time. Let's jump into it.
The dream is Ariziona receiver Tetairoa McMillan, but that dream is not coming true for the Lions unless a miracle happens. What could happen is Stanford's Elic Ayomanor. The 6-foot-2 receiver could come in and immediately be a big part of the Lions offense in 2025.
Tim Patrick has been awesome and deserves some more time with the team, but he's 31-years-old and isn't the future here. Ayomanor gives the Lions a third option that can do what Patrick and Reynolds have done at just 21-years old. The Lions can grab him in the second or third-round.
One leads to ratings and the other doesn't. I hate to boil it down to that because it seems so easy, but that's what it is. The other thing is that these guys don't watch every game and aren't seeing what local media sees every day. They see what they see and don't know the context or the nuances to the situation. So they have uneducated stances on things they barely know about.
He does have the most DPI's in the league, but he's only had two since Week four. Those first four games really were insane when it comes to penalties. If you take those four games out, you'll see just how good Arnold has gotten lately.
He's allowed just 51.9% of passes his way to get caught. That's 14 catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns. He has settled in so well and is showing that he has big-time potential for the future.
Probably for the immediate future if the Lions don't bring Zeitler back next year. At this point, I don't see why they wouldn't. He's on the verge of back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons. The only thing that might prevent it is if the Lions win the Super Bowl and he rides off into the sunset. If that happens, then it's Mahogany time.
same situation as Zeitler. I would be shocked if the Lions didn't lock Davis down for more seasons. I think the eventual plan is to have Rakestraw take over there, but he's not ready for that yet. Davis is playing so well right now. Lock him down.
We worked up a potential contract for him not long ago. He's not going to break the bank.
Fun question. I'll break it down into the three categories.
Best play: I have to go with Gibbs' 45-yard touchdown run against the Vikings. He has the most swift juke I've seen in a while. I'm a sucker for a good juke.
Favorite one: I have to go with the Goff touchdown catch against the Seahawks. That was perfectly done and you just couldn't have called that one on your best day.
Most important: I hate to have recency bias, but that fourth-down conversion last Thursday was gigantic for this team. They needed to win that game to help their chances at the first seed and they pulled off the risky move to make it happen.
No, these guys are all playing well and they're nice help and everything, but you have to bring your guys back. The one big thing though is that these guys are now about to be really nice depth.
I never believed that. I do believe that some people don't know how to read though. What I suggested was that Arnold, who we've established had committed eight of his 10 penalties this year in four games, should be dialed down a bit for exactly two games to work on the problem and that he should split reps with Vildor during those two weeks. The most mild take I think I've ever had.
I also know that everyone ignored just how good Vildor was in the second half of the Colts game and the Thanksgiving game.
This is kinda random but is this Brads first draft where only one player is a starter so far? And how has the development been on the other picks?

That's the good thing about being a good team and drafting well. Eventually, your picks become more about filling out the team than they do about getting your starters and your foundation together. While only one guy is starting now, the Lions will get a lot of some of these guys in the future. Manu and Mahogany could be the future of the offensive line. Vaki can be a full-on running back at some point and Wingo has a chance to be a starter someday too. Rakestraw as well.
