On3's Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons predicted on Wednesday (the first day of the early signing period) that the Tennessee Vols will swipe a four-star commit from the USC Trojans.

Wiltfong and Simmons predicted that 2025 four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte will switch his commitment from USC to Tennessee.

Perlotte has been committed to the Trojans since late July.

Perlotte, 6-foot-2/202 lbs from Buford, GA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 28 linebacker in the nation and the No. 40 player in the state of Georgia.

Scouting report via 247Sports: Has a game tailor made for the next level because of his positional versatility. Shows off a rare combination of size, compete level and athleticism and can line up at about 3-4 different spots. Projectable frame at about 6-foot-3.5, 210 pounds and plays both linebacker and safety. He has exceptional lateral mobility, can drop and cover and plays with a consistent motor. Routinely covers wide receivers down the field in 7v7 play and is very comfortable playing in space. Can blitz off the edge and has the speed to run down plays from behind. He plays with maniacal effort and motor and has a nice mean streak to him as well. He’s a very twitchy player who reads and reacts quickly, can change direction, get off blocks and is a huge hitter. Really doesn't have a discernible weakness and has the kind of all around game that should allow him to see the field as a true freshman.

Perlotte, who also runs track, was originally committed to Georgia. But after being committed to the Bulldogs for over a year, Perlotte decommitted and subsequently committed to USC.

The Georgia native visited Tennessee earlier this season for the Vols' win against the Kentucky Wildcats.
