How Will Levis is evaluating his own progress despite roller coaster Titans results
Tennessee is going nowhere until they settle their quarterback debate
NASHVILLE — Quarterback Will Levis has been back in the lineup for the Tennessee Titans for four consecutive games. Progress has been notable for the second-year pro since returning from a three-game injury stint earlier this season.
With five more opportunities remaining this season, Levis' has steadily improved.

Tennessee is still a disaster as a football team.
A 42-19 ass-kicking at the hands of the Washington Commanders (8-5) in Week 13 dropped the Titans to 3-9 on the year. Marred by penalties, the league's worst special teams unit and an uncharacteristic defensive letdown, last Sunday marked the sixth time this season that Tennessee has lost a game by ten points or more. Levis, however, does not feel that the lopsided results have invalidated his improvement.
"Speaking offensively, it was a weird first half," Levis said on Wednesday. "I think we only touched the ball 10 snaps before it was 28-nothing. So sometimes you're just sitting there in the situations like, 'Hey, what are you going to do?' All we can do is go out there and play our best ball, which I feel like we picked ourselves up and played pretty well in that second half and being put in that tough situation of just kind of playing drop back football and putting those guys in five or six-man drop back pass mode in the O-line the entire game and how we handled it in all the phases of the offense I thought was pretty good.
"It just sucks when you feel like you didn't even have a chance to really show what we're capable of before it's 28-nothing. So yeah, that's why I don't feel like it was a huge thing for the offense. We knew that it was definitely on us as to why we were put in that situation, at least partially, as it is everybody. But we knew that we can move the ball on that team and it's not like we got discouraged by the outcome."
All valid points.
Levis finished the Washington debacle completing 18-of-37 passing attempts for 212 yards, two touchdowns and a rating of 84.5. Through the four games he's been back for, the former second-round pick has completed 61.7% of his passes for 960 yards with seven touchdowns against just two interceptions. Levis has been sacked 22 times in that same span, which is partly on him, but there is no dispute he has played well enough to take Tennessee out of the quarterback discussion in this upcoming NFL draft cycle.
Five games remain for him to continue to make the case that he can secure the Titans starting job in 2025 and beyond.
