At the end of Saturday's Ohio State-Michigan game, a fight broke out between the two teams.

The Wolverines came out on top in the final moments with a game-winning field goal. And to celebrate, they attempted to plant a flag at midfield. But Ohio State was not okay with that.

Specifically, Buckeyes defending Jack Sawyer took the flag, throwing it to the side.

That's how the scuffle began.

Police rushed onto the field to break up the fight. And according to one reporter, along with a videos circulating, they used pepper spray to do that.

Pat Forde, a senior writer at Sports Illustrated, posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he "just got secondhand pepper sprayed."

Fox Sports then posted a video showing two Michigan players clearly in some discomfort on the sidelines, squinting and having trouble seeing.

Tension were high after Michigan upset the Buckeyes, 13-10, in this rivalry matchup. The Wolverines have now won four straight against Ohio State.

“For such a great game, you hate to see stuff like that after the game. It’s just bad for the sport, bad for college football,” Michigan RB Kalel Mullings said  on the FOX broadcast. “But at the end of the day, some people, they’ve got to learn how to lose. You can’t be fighting and stuff just because you lost the game. All that fighting, we had 60 minutes, we had four quarters to do all that fighting. Now, people want to talk and fight. That’s wrong. It’s just bad for the game. Classless, in my opinion. People got to be better.”

Ohio State press conferences have not started, so Buckeyes players have yet to comment on what occurred.
