ESPN's Pat McAfee got duped by a troll account on Saturday during a live broadcast of College GameDay.

While making his prediction for the Tennessee Vols vs Vanderbilt Commodores matchup, McAfee referenced a fake tweet claiming that country music star and noted Volunteers fan Morgan Wallen had pledged $500,000 to cover bail fees for any UT fans arrested in Nashville this weekend.

(McAfee also picked the Commodores to win…..that proved to be a bad prediction as the Vols won 36-23.)

Here's the clip of McAfee referencing the tweet.

To be fair to McAfee, it's getting tougher and tougher to discern what's real and what's fake on social media. If you're scrolling through Twitter and you see a tweet with a ton of engagement, it's easy for that to stick in your mind. Unfortunately for McAfee, the tweet was completely false.

Don't sweat it, Pat — it can happen to any of us. Some of these troll accounts are truly getting out of control on social media.
