Las Vegas Raiders could see a hit in attendance vs. Broncos in Week 12 and it's not due to the product on the field

One of the biggest flaws about the Las Vegas Raiders playing in Las Vegas is that it is the capital of entertainment. In other words, there are so many other things going on in the city during their games or the weekend of their games that take fans away from the games. And it's a touristy city that brings in fans of other teams, which doesn't help the home-field advantage aspect at all.
The Raiders have suffered greatly from that. Now, financially, they haven't, as their numbers in that department are far higher than they were in Oakland or even Los Angeles. But the play on the field hasn't been great, and there is really no home-field advantage.
The Raiders are 2-8 and facing a schedule that could see them lose the rest of their games. This week, attendance could get even worse, but it has nothing to do with the product they are putting out on the field.
As we mentioned earlier, the city of Las Vegas is all about glitz and glamour, and that is no different this weekend. In fact, this is one of the biggest weekends in Las Vegas, as at night on the weekend, the strip is shut down for a bit of street racing. Well, not the street racing you may think, this is Formula One racing on a street.
Formula One is the pinnacle of racing, it's the rockstars of racing. This is the most difficult and talented racing league in the world. This is the league that every driver dreams of racing in. And it's happening this weekend in Las Vegas, the same day that the Las Vegas Raiders play the Denver Broncos.
The race is expected to see over 300 thousand fans in attendance, which will greatly take away from the amount of people that could attend the game. Now, I have been vocal in the past that F1 being in Las Vegas does bring some publicity to the Raiders. Fans from different countries will see the Raiders logo everywhere, the stadium, and even pictures of players they may recognize, and they will gravitate towards that.
Not to mention the Raiders have a branding deal of some sort with F1 this weekend, where the team can sell gear and vice versa, at the race, set up a booth, and things of that nature.
But, in order for this race to not affect the Raiders, maybe throw the event, or change the schedule to where they aren't happening on the same day? The NFL could schedule the bye week this week for the Raiders, or even an away game.
It's certainly something that should be looked at in the future because some of the roads being shut down and the traffic mess that will be in Las Vegas, will make life difficult for Raiders fans on Sunday.
After a game with the Broncos, the Raiders will play the Kansas City Chiefs on the road.
Las Vegas Raiders are making a partnership that will only attract more fans
The Raiders are smart for this.
