With the early signing period quickly approaching, the majority of recruiting in college football is done. Now, it is all about holding onto your commitments to get them signed.
There are a few targets out there remaining for each team and the Ohio State Buckeyes could soon be close to adding one of theirs.
Cornerback Jordyn Woods has been committed to Cincinnati since June, but the talented recruit took an official visit to Ohio State for their game against Indiana this past weekend. With that, the Buckeyes have landed a prediction to flip Woods.
Ohio State offered the 6-food-4 Woods earlier this month and wasted no time getting the Cartersville, Georgia product on campus. Woods has offers from Michigan State, Boston College, and Virginia to go along with the Bearcats and Buckeyes.
Woods is a three-star recruit and the No. 117 rated recruit in the class of 2025, according to 247 Sports Composite rankings. As it happens most of the time, if Woods commits to Ohio State we will see his ranking shoot up.
Now having made his official visit, Woods could be a target to flip before signing day which will take place next week. Right now, Ohio State has two true cornerbacks committed in the current class. Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord are both five-star recruits. However, Ohio State has some worry when it comes to Offord, who could flip elsewhere on signing day.
Woods is a player that Ohio State can see taking off with their development. He doesn’t have an extensive offer list, so it appears the Buckeyes are looking to find a hidden gem that many programs are not in on.
