The Las Vegas Raiders are interested in Daniel Jones. The interest is there. However, whether something will be done or not is something we will have to wait and see. The former New York Giants quarterback could be a player that a lot of teams want. For the Raiders, the price has to be right.

Jones is still in his mid-20s and a very young football player. He was a first-round pick by the Giants and has shown flashes that he can be a great quarterback. But, he has also shown flashes that he can be a very bad one. That's what happened pretty much last year and this year for the Giants. He was benched, and he asked the team if they could release him.

On Monday, he cleared waivers, as expected, and was officially a free agent. Now the Raiders can sign him if they choose to do so. And while Raiders fans are yelling from the rooftops that the team won't do it because it makes no sense, that's exactly why they will do it.

According to Ian Rappoport, NFL Network's NFL insider, that's a move to watch. He hinted that the Raiders could be a sneaky team in the Daniel Jones sweepstakes.

I get it, Jones hasn't been great, fans want to lose more games, and bringing him in would sacrifice the ability to do that. This is a bad team, they are not tanking on purpose, they are just losing football games. But, they want to win. As Maxx Crosby said, they don't care about a pick, they want to win football games.
