Philadelphia Eagles veteran Brandon Graham may or may not have played his last game for the Birds.

For now, however, the 36-year-old edge rusher is at least done for the 2024 season after suffering a torn triceps injury in Week 12's win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Graham had been extremely positive with the media since finding out on Sunday but finally broke down during an interview with 94WIP on Tuesday.

“Hold on, I'm trying to keep it in," Graham said as the tears came falling. "I know I needed it. Boy, I just love what we've been building. I know I'm not letting anybody down as far as getting hurt and stuff because I know I'm going to bring the energy."

The guys at the radio even cut Graham off to let him know he's not letting anybody down.

"I know, I know. I got you," Graham said. "I promise you, I'm just more hurt on how we've been coming every week and trying to defy the odds… I just needed this right here. I needed to get this out. It's been awhile since I've cried man. This was the one right here, this was the one. All I know is I just appreciate everybody in that locker room. We've been going through some things this year and we've bounced back and we been working and I'm gonna stay working.

"When I get this surgery I'm gonna be working and I'm gonna make sure I bringing that energy. I'm gonna make sure I do what I'm supposed to do every day like I've been doing. I'm going to be living through them boys and I'm gonna be so hyped!"

Yes, Graham should be very proud of what he's done this year after logging a combined 20 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.

But he should also be extremely proud of what he's done for the Eagles over the last 15 seasons. In his franchise record of 206 regular season game appearances, he has racked up 76.5 sacks, which is the third-most in Philly franchise history.

He has also brought unmatched energy and leadership to a relatively young locker room.

"Can't say enough good things about BG. I think you guys have asked me this a couple of times, just everybody in every workplace needs a Brandon Graham," head coach Nick Sirianni said. "His energy is contagious. If you're having a bad day, and you get around him, he can turn your day positive. Obviously, the player speaks for itself and the play on the field. He's having a great year, just can't say enough about him as a leader, as a captain, as a teammate.

"His leadership is very special. BG is going to be around and he's going to be still leading. I know that man can lead when he's on the field, when he's off the field, no matter what, and I'm excited that we still have his leadership and everything that he feeds this football team."
